I have been closely following the Rohit Vermula incident and the JNU incident that followed it.
After being bombarded with different perspectives, I have started introspecting on, what is truth to me.
Should truth be simple as stating facts ? or should it be what you conclude from facts. Our perspective towards an event is not always objective. It always have an influence of our subjective sense; which has evolved from our past experiences.
I have been asking my self, what should I understand from these two events. My intellectual self tells me; the claim that Kanaya Kumar is anti-national is rubbish and the evidence that has been provided for justifying his culpability is weak. Their seem to be a case of conspiracy against him.
Perhaps, this has to do with my left biased world view. But, I am certain that those anti national slogans have anything to do with Kanaya.
I am really surprised by he view which my colleagues carry on this. Arguably, this has to do with the
influence of media on this and the biases which it has been able to create. I wish if I had more people who can think independently around me.
